Precise induction brazing
Synchronous generators lie at the heart of many power plants, where they are used for electricity production. Pole coils, in turn, are an essential component in every synchronous hydro generator. They are wound or inserted directly onto each pole.
With this in mind, it is clear why the brazing of pole coils is a demanding process. The part has to be precisely positioned and fixed in place before brazing. Finally, the brazing site is then pressed to prevent protrusions around the brazing area.
The induction experts at eldec have developed a brazing system for the production of pole coils that carries out the demanding brazing work fully automatically. The energy source used is the Custom Line MFG75 medium-frequency generator from eldec. The induction generator supplies the required power without delay, so that brazing can begin immediately. The user consequently benefits from a rapid, precise application of heat – which ultimately means unsurpassed brazing quality.
